CSIPS recognises that dialogue is a key element in bringing to an end conflict and forced migration even where conflict or instability is an ongoing obstacle to peace. Even where instability is not due to conflict – such as due to climate change and its peripheral challenges – dialogue is key to uniting against a common threat.

CSIPS is pursuing avenues for opening discussion and dialogue. It facilitates meetings between parties to conflicts through mediation, engages in external conferences and workshops, and provides research to parties in their attempts to clarify legal and political questions in an effort to push forward for peace.

We are always interested in working towards peace with other organisations – be they government, non-governmental, or private. CSIPS is researching mediation strategies and the role of the international community in Cyprus, Egypt, Morocco, Israel and the OPT, Colombia, the Philippines, and Hong Kong, among other areas.
